Core values represent the fabric of society and are vital to how we and our children live our lives, interact with each other and the world. In light of this, a core values programme was introduced in 2004. Values we have focused on in the past include kindness, respect, integrity, manners, diversity, resilience, love, appreciation, empathy, commitment, consideration and conservation.
Each Grade in the school is assigned a two week time slot in which they put up a display and present an assembly on a specific aspect of the value studied that term. Parents receive information at the beginning of the year explaining the activities for each term. There is no 'time limit' to this initiative. It is a 'way of living' for Kyalami Preparatory and will continue into the future.
Our values for 2013 are 'What is a K.P.S kid?'
